Hotel Casino is situated in the heart of the town of
Sierre, Switzerland, just opposite the cable car Sierre -
Crans-Montana (2 minutes).
Internet access available at the reception desk. We serve speciality

The Region
Sierre, the sunniest city in Switzerland, in the heart of the region
of excellent wines.
Discover the wine path, sentier viticole, which leads through
the vineyards of Sierre and Salgesch and connects the interesting
vine & wine museum of the Valais. The museum is composed of two
sites: The Château de Villa museum in Sierre with a
permanent exhibition centred on the wine. The Zumofen house in
Salgesch which concentrates on the wine growing.
The specially marked itinerary follows roads with little traffic
alongside wine grower districts and passes through the nature reserve
of the Raspille gorges. It will make you discover the ancient and
current wine growing customs, typical quarters as well as historic
buildings.
Visit the Pewterware museum at the town hall. The current
exhibition shows 173 carefully selected pieces out of the collection
of Mr. Gaspard-André Caloz who had worked in the leading hotels in
France, Italy and Switzerland and started collecting pewterware in
his early years.
In Sierre as well, you will find the Rainer-Maria Rilke museum /
Rainer-Maria Rilke foundation. The permanent exhibition is
dedicated to the Valais years of the poet (1921-1926). The foundation
shows its Rilke collection, composed of books, manuscripts, pictures,
paintings, recordings, etc. During autumn, the permanent exhibition
is further enriched with other events, such as exhibitions on a
specific theme, lectures, evenings of reading and chamber music.

The hotel Casino is situated in the town centre of
Sierre in Switzerland, very close to the train
station.
By car :
Arriving by the motorway A9 from Lausanne, Sion take the
exit n° 28 Sierre- Ouest and continue direction train
station.
The hotel is located on the right, just before the train station
square.
Coming from Brig, turn right at the roundabout at the entrance of
Sierre and continue direction train station. Turn left after the
cable car underpass. The hotel is located on the opposite, at the
end
of the road.
Arriving through the Lötschbergtunnel, join Kandersteg train station
via
Spiez and load your car there on the train to Goppenstein. Continue
direction Sierre as far as the roundabout and follow then above
instructions.
By train :
Sierre train station is situated at only 100 m from the hotel. All
trains operating between Brig and Sion are stopping.
By plane :
From Geneva airport, at a distance of 170 km, take the
motorway direction Lausanne, Sion and follow then above
instructions.
By public transport, take a direct train as far as Sierre.
From Zurich airport, at a distance of 300 km, continue
direction Bern, Vevey, Sion, Sierre and follow then above
instructions.
By public transport, Sierre train station is either reachable by
direct
trains coming from the airport or with change in Brig or Lausanne.
