The Region
Alvão Nature Reserve was created in 1983. Although small in
size, you might get as lucky as to watch the flight of the golden
eagle, an endangered species. The park is home to many other species
that are representative of Portuguese mountain areas.
Summer
There is nothing like adventure sports to let off steam. Only
about ten kilometres from the hotel you can play paintball, go
white-water rafting, mountain biking, four-wheeling and climbing. Of
course, you can also indulge in more quiet pleasures like rambling
along one of the hiking trails.
Culture also takes pride of place notably due to the Roman
ruins close to Cerva, in a village that is part of the national
archaeological heritage.

Hotel de Cerva is located near Ribeira de Pena, in the
heart of the Serra do Alvão mountain range, in northern
Portugal.
Arrival by car :
From motorway A7, take exit no. 13-Ribeira de Pena. At
the roundabout, take the direction of Cerva. When arriving
at the village, follow the hotel signs for about 1 km.
Arrival by airplane : Porto Airport is 112 km away. Take motorway A3 in the
direction of Braga. Rejoin motorway A7. Drive via Guimarães until
Ribeira de Pena. Then follow the above driving directions.
