Minotel Continental is located in the Neubau quarter of the 7th
district (7. Bezirk), between Westbahnhof railway station and the
old
town (Hofburg, Staatsoper etc.).
Arrival by car :
Coming from the west via highway A1
Follow the direction of Wien-Zentrum. At the end of the
highway, continue on B1, which runs along the river. Drive past
Schönbrunn Palace on your right and continue on Wiener-
Bundesstrasse, respectively Schönbrunnerstrasse. About 7 km
after
the end of the highway, turn left onto Margaretengürtel/Wiener
Gürtel in the direction of Westbahnhof.
About 1 km later, on Europaplatz, turn right into Mariahilfer
Strasse.
The hotel at no. 50 is located on on your left-hand side, at the
corner of Kirchengasse.
Coming from the south and the east via highways A2, A4 and from
Wien-Schwechat Airport
Rejoin ring road A23 and take exit Landstrasse in the
direction of B221, Gürtel, Südbahnhof. At Südbahnhof railway
station, turn right and continue on Prinz-Eugen-Strasse until
Schwarzenbergplatz/Karlsplatz. Drive round the square and continue
for about 400 m on Getreidemarkt. Then turn left into
Mariahilfer Strasse. The hotel at no. 50 is located on on
your
left-hand side, at the corner of Kirchengasse.
Arrival by train :
Westbahnhof railway station is 1 km from the hotel away.
Leave the station via its main exit, cross the square (Europaplatz )
and continue on Mariahilfer Strasse. The hotel is located about 750
m
further away on your left-hand side, at the corner of
Kirchengasse.
By subway, take line U3 in the direction of Erdberg and get off at
the 2nd station (Neubaugasse). The hotel is located about 100 m
further away on Mariahilfer Strasse.
From Südbahnhof railway station, take urban train S1, 2, 3 or
15 until Landstrasse/Wien Mitte (2 stops) and then subway line U3 in
the direction of Ottakring. Get off at the 5th station (Neubaugasse).
Airports :
From international airport Wien-Schwechat
Take the express bus of the Vienna Airport Lines which provides a
connection for Westbahnhof and Südbahnhof railway stations every
half
an hour (about a 25-, respectively a 35-minute ride that costs 6
euro). Then continue by subway.
You can also take the City Airport Train CAT (leaving every half an
hour, about a 15-minute ride that costs 9 euro) or urban train S7
(about a 30-minute ride) until Landstrasse/Wien Mitte stop. Then
take
subway line U3 in the direction of Ottakring (4 euro). Get off at
Neubaugasse station.
A taxi costs about 30 to 35 euro.
From SK-Bratislava Airport,
which is about 70 km away, a train or a bus leaves at least every
half an hour for Vienna. It is about a 50-minute ride by car.
